3D Boki (Book keeping) System for OOo on Windows

Download

  1. One of the following 3D Boki (Book keeping) Systems

    3D Boki without departmental accounting
    (file name: ETFC0_GL20.ods)
3D Boki with 3 departmental accounting
    (file name: ETFC3_GL20.ods)
    3D Boki for sole proprietorship
    (file name: ETFDV_GL20.ods)
  2. One of the following icons

    for Windows7(file name: icon4OOoW7.zip)
    for WindowsXP(file name: icon4OOoWXP.zip)

Where to place downloaded files

  • Any folder in your computer is OK to save/place the 3D Boki system.
  • Be sure to save/place 3D icons in the “c:¥OOo3D¥d3icons” folder.
(See the “Installation of 3D icons” section below.)

What to do when the downloaded file's extention is “.zip”

Some browser like Internet Explorer 8 saves the file automatically with the extension of “.zip” when you select “Save” in the “File Download” dialog. If you double click and open the downloaded file with the “.zip” extension unchanged, it cannot be opened as an OpenOffice.org Calc file. If you encounter such a case, try to perform the following steps, before double clicking the file.
(If you have opened the file already, then remove the file(s), and redo download before setting about the following procedures.)。

  1. Right click the downloaded “.zip” file name.
  2. Select “Open from a program”
  3. Left click “Select program”
  4. Select OpenOffice.org Calc. (If you do not see OpenOffice.org Calc in the list, left click “browse” botton and let Calc appear in the list)
  5. Left click “OK” botton.
As a result, the file will be opened as a Calc. On opening, use Calc command of “Alt→File(F)→Save As(A)” In the dialog which appears, make sure that
  • File type is “ODF Spreadsheet(ods.)”
  • The checkbox in front of ”Automatic file name extension” has a tick mark
Then, click on “Save”. As a result, a file with “.ods” extension (the very file you intended to download) is created and saved. At this stage, the original file with “.zip” extension still remains. Make sure that you have the “.ods” file, and remove the “.zip” file from your computer right then.
(Note): The Macro sheet is protected by a passwaord expressed by “pwd”, three lowercase alphabet characters.

3D Boki (Book keeping) System for Excel on Windows

Download

  1. One of the following 3D Boki (Book keeping) Systems

    3D Boki without departmental accounting
    (File name: ETFC0_GL20.xls)
3D Boki with 3 departmental accounting
    (file name: ETFC3_GL20.xls)
    3D Boki for sole proprietorship
    (file name: ETFDV_GL20.xls)
  2. Accounting engine with ExcelVBA Macros
    (Indispensable file: ETFVBA.xls)
  3. A file which contains Excel menubar data
    (file name: Excel.xlb)
  4. One of the following icons

    for Windows7 (file name: icon4XLW7.zip)
    for WindowsXP (file name: icon4XLWXP.zip)

Where to place downloaded files

  1. Be sure to save/place JTFVBA.xls in the “c:¥OOo3D” folder.
  2. The 3D Boki for Excel can be saved/placed in anywhere in your PC.
However, a folder in the vicinity of “c:¥OOo3D” would be easier to handle.
  3. Excel.xlb can be saved/placed in whatever folder, but considering the case when you have to open it again, a folder in the vicinity of “c:¥OOo3D” would be convinient for you also.
  4. Be sure to save/place 3D icons in the “c:¥OOo3D¥d3icons” folder
(See the “Installation of 3D icons” section below.)
(Note) Only ETFVBA.xls is mounted with Excel VBA programs which are the driving force of 3D Boki. However, ETFVBA needs to read user specific information stored in your 3D Boki in order to function properly. To enable this, all you have to do is to set a reference from ETFVBA.xls project to the 3D Boki project, ETFC0_GL20.xls, for an example. For customization procedure including this reference setting topic, please see the “to Customize” sheet in ETFVBA.xls book.
(Note) We recommend that you use 3D Boki for OOo. The main reason for our development of Excel version is to offer a bridge from Excel VBA to OOoBasic by showing a translation of both languages on a step by step basis. We appreciate your understanding that there will be no support to Excel versions.

Installation of 3D icons

  • For users of 3D Boki for OOo or Excel on Windows

    1. Create a new folder “c:¥OOo3D¥d3icons” using the Explorer equiped with Windows.
    2. Place or move the downloaded zip file in the “c:¥OOo3D” folder.
    3. Double click the zip file in the “c:¥OOo3D” folder, and you will see a new folder born having exactly the same name as the zip file, and 11 unzipped files in the new folder.
    4. Move the 11 unzipped files into “c:¥OOo3D¥d3icons” folder. If you do not place those icon files in other than this folder, 3D Boki system cannot find and read in the icons.
    5. After moving the 11 icons, remove the vacant folder with the old zip file name.
    6. After above steps, 3D Boki is able to show icons in its dialogs reading from icon files in the “c:¥OOo3D¥d3icons” folder.
  • For users of 3D Boki for Linux –
How to register icons to the dialogs.

Linux permits folder manipulation only in a very restricted way from security viewpoints. This makes the following procedures necessary. “Ubuntu” distribution of Linux is taken as an example in the following steps.

    1. Select “Ducuments” folder in the “Home” folder.
    2. Create “d3icons” folder in this “Documents” folder as follows;
Click File(F)→Create Folder(F), and key in “d3icons” in the “Untitled folder”.
    3. Move the downloded zip file into this “d3icons” folder.
    4. Double click the zip file in the “c:¥OOo3D” folder, and you will see a new folder born having exactly the same name as the zip file, and 11 unzipped files in the new folder.
    5. Select all of those by Ctl+A, and then drag and drop in the “d3icons” folder.
    6. After moving, remove the zip file in the same folder.

This is more or less the same with Windows. From now on, Linux specific procedures start.

    1. Open the 3D Boki system of your selection.
    2. Stroke Alt+F11 key and let the dialog titled “LibreOffice Basic Macros” show on the screen.
    3. Click on the “Edit” button on the right, and a dialog titled “LibreOffice Basic Macro Organizer” appears.
    4. Among the 3 tabs in the upper side of this ”LibreOffice Basic Macro Organizer” dialog, select “Dialogs”.
    5. Click the rightward triangle in front of the 3D Boki system name in the “Dialog” list toward the left.
    6. Sub-branches of “Ooo3D” and “Standard” appear under the branch of 3D Boki System file name. Click on the rightward triangle in front of “OOo3D”
    7. Another sub-branches of “AKS”, “AWList” and “DTDlg” appear under “Ooo3D” branch. First, select “DTDlg” and click on the “Edit” button on the right.
    8. Then, you will see the design-mode dialog of “Report by Month” dialog as shown here below. Now, let's go on to link the 4 graphics buttons on the right hand side of the dialog to the graphics of icons.
    9. In the first place, left click the upper left command button, then right click the same button.
    10. ”Property:” dialog appears. Click the browser button next to the “Graphics” item, the fifth item from the bottom of the “Property:” dialog.
    11. “Graphic” dialog shows up. Select “Document” from the left-hand side of the “Graphics” dialog, and you will see“d3icons” in the “Name” box to the right. Double click “d3icons”.
    12. 11 files are displayed in the “Name” box. Select the icon having the same pattern with the icon on the upper left position above of the sample dialog shown in this page, and click the “Open” button on the bottom in the “Graphic” dialog.
    13. The selected command button is now filled with the pattern of the icon of your choice. Perform the procedure 9 through 12 above for other three command buttons, although the right click in 9 above is not necessary, because the “Property:” dialog is already displayed there.
    14. Let's work next on “Account code container” dialog. Left Click “AWList” tab in the middle of the lower part of “LibreOffice Basic Macro Organizer”.Then, the design-mode dialog of the right graphic shows up. Perform the 9 through 12 procedures above for the 2 command buttons.
    15. Finally, click the “AKS” tab in the middle of the lower part of “LibreOffice Basic Macro Organizer”, and link the 8 command buttons with the 6 graphic icons shown below.
      |(2positions)|(2positions)| ||
Refer to the graphics shown in the Matching tool section in the “Command menu” page, and perform the 9 through 12 procedures above.

Step by step programs of OOoBasic vis-a-vis Excel VBA which drive 3D Boki (Accounting System).

Click on each item below, and you will see PDF files in the seperate screen. Click on “Save/Copy” icon and you download the applicable files. These programs are already there on 3D Boki for OOBasic for Windows and Linux. For Excel VBA, you can see the programs if you look into the VBA of ETFVBA.xls

These translation of OOBasic vis-a-vis Excel VBA should serve both for those proficient in VBAs and those in OOoBasic. You will notice many similarity in languages in each procedures. One of the main reasons for this is Module VF which absorbs the different expressions of OooBasic and Excel VBA by using common proc/function names between the two. We should be grateful if you find some fun in such points and make use of this library

  1. Module AA(Handles accounting code and name)
  2. Module AC(Cash Flow Statement)
  3. Module AE(Preparatory Entrance to 3D Boki macros)
  4. Module AI(Row insertion/Deletion, Addition to Account Code/Name)
  5. Module AJ(Preparation of matching Report of Revenue and Costs)
  6. Module AK(Keshikomi 'Matching' program)
  7. Module AM(Presentation of Messages)
  8. Module AP(Printing )
